Nepal Flood Death Toll Hits 903 With Thousands Still Missing

Flash floods triggered by a glacier collapse on the Nepal-Tibet border have killed 903 people in Nepal, with 4,247 individuals currently reported missing by the national disaster authority.

Rescue teams are struggling to reach over 900 workers trapped in hydropower tunnels, while 500 workers from the Truck and Container Association and 261 foreign nationals in Tibet remain unaccounted for.

China has allocated at least 220 million yuan ($33 million) for relief efforts and deployed nine tunnel rescue experts to assist Nepal in clearing debris from blocked project sites.
