Mayawati demands regularisation of contractual workers in Uttar Pradesh

Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati has demanded that the Uttar Pradesh government regularise temporary contractual employees working across state departments.

The demand was raised after the state announced plans to provide one lakh government jobs within the next six months, which the BSP chief urged should include long-serving workers.

Mayawati criticized outsourcing and contracting as an exploitative system, specifically calling for the regularisation of National Rural Health Mission contractual workers protesting in Lucknow.
