The Delhi High Court refused to stay the theatrical release of the film Doosra in a suit filed by former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly.
Ganguly and Luv Films had sought an injunction alleging unauthorised commercial exploitation of his personality rights and iconic cricketing moments.
The filmmakers argued the movie is a fictional story about a Rajasthan girl inspired by Ganguly and that a license for match footage was secured from the BCCI.
