Five Killed in Assam Head-On Collision Between Van and Truck

Five men died when their Maruti Suzuki Eeco van collided head-on with a truck on National Highway 15 at Balipara in Sonitpur district late Friday night.

The victims were identified as local residents, with two dying at the spot and three succumbing to injuries after being taken to a government hospital.

Police seized both vehicles, recovered alcohol bottles from the van, and launched a search for the absconding truck driver.
