Uber Announces 10 Percent Global Workforce Reduction

Uber Technologies is laying off 3,300 employees, representing 10 percent of its global workforce, to simplify team structures and reduce management layers.

CEO Dara Khosrowshahi stated that only 1 percent of the company's staff will remain remote, as the firm shifts focus toward autonomous vehicle investments and core operations.

Despite a 12 percent revenue increase to $14.2 billion in the second quarter of 2026, the company's stock has declined 8 percent throughout the current year.
