72nd National Film Awards Ceremony to Move to Gujarat

The 72nd National Film Awards ceremony is expected to move from New Delhi to Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, marking the first time the event is held outside the national capital.

President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to present the awards later this month, with the venue chosen for its proximity to the Statue of Unity landmark.

The awards, announced in July 2026, honor 2024 releases, including Best Feature Film 'Article 370' and Best Actor winners Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan, alongside Best Actress Yami Gautam.
