Curfews Imposed in Nepal After Communal Violence

Authorities have imposed curfews and deployed the army across multiple districts in Nepal, including Sunsari and Dhanusha, following communal clashes that killed at least three people.

The violence, which began in Devanganj, has resulted in dozens of injuries and widespread property damage, leading the local municipality to declare the victims as 'martyrs'.

Prime Minister Balendra Shah has appealed for national unity and peace, while the government has approved financial compensation of one million Nepalese rupees for each bereaved family.
