South Korea Summons Ukrainian Envoy Over Transferred North Korean Soldiers

South Korea summoned Ukraine's acting ambassador to lodge a formal complaint after Kyiv publicly announced the transfer of two captured North Korean prisoners of war to Seoul.

President Lee Jae Myung's office criticized the disclosure as a breach of confidentiality agreements intended to protect national security and the soldiers' families.

Seoul has maintained a policy of providing non-lethal assistance to Ukraine while avoiding direct weapon supplies, despite pressure from Kyiv following North Korea's military deployment.
