Amit Shah flags off India's first LNG train and inaugurates railway projects in Gujarat

Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off India's first dual-fuel liquefied natural gas train and a WAG-12 electric locomotive at Sabarmati Railway Station.

He inaugurated and laid foundation stones for railway projects worth over ₹1,500 crore in Gujarat, including line doubling and automatic signalling systems.

Shah stated that the railways used 293 crore litres of diesel in 2015-16, and consumption will be reduced to zero by the year 2030.
