Boulder Valley School District Proposes Multiple School Closures

The Boulder Valley School District has proposed closing several schools, including Birch, Douglass, Mesa, Flatirons, and Monarch Elementary, to address declining enrollment.

Superintendent Rob Anderson stated the consolidation aims to better allocate resources, though parents have expressed concerns over the disruption to students.

The school board is scheduled to vote on the proposed closures and consolidations at the end of the month following public comment sessions.
