Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu aims to claim an elusive Asian Games gold medal in the 48-49kg weight category after winning her third consecutive Commonwealth Games title in Glasgow.
Chanu clinched the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in July with an aggregate lift of 190kg, setting Games records across snatch and clean and jerk attempts.
Coach Vijay Sharma emphasized the need for technical improvements ahead of the Asian Games, where Chanu faces stiff competition from dominant Chinese and North Korean lifters.
