The CBI registered a case against Arunachal Pradesh activist Bhanu Tatak for allegedly receiving ₹17.6 lakh in foreign funds without mandatory registration.
The agency claims Tatak, a legal adviser for the Siang Indigenous Farmers’ Forum, used these funds to sustain anti-dam protests in the region.
Tatak, who recently joined the Congress party, stated she is cooperating with the probe and maintains she is a law-abiding citizen.
