Makers of India's Oscar entry Gondhal unveil global trailer ahead of re-release

The makers of the Marathi film Gondhal, India's official entry for the 2027 Oscars, released its global trailer ahead of a theatrical re-release on November 13.

Directed by Santosh Davakhar, the psychological thriller is set against the backdrop of a Maharashtrian folk performance and will be re-released in seven languages globally.

Gondhal becomes the fourth Marathi film submitted to the Academy Awards in the Best International Film category, following Shwaas, Harishchandrachi Factory, and Court.
