Dev Prabhakar Singh Tomar secured All India Rank 629 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 after leaving his high-paying engineering job in the Netherlands.
An electrical engineering graduate from IIT Ropar, Tomar previously worked at Philips in the Netherlands before returning to India to prepare independently.
Tomar was subsequently selected for the Indian Railways Traffic Service and is currently serving in the Railway Ministry.
