Karnataka CM Asserts Drought Will Be Discussed Regardless of BJP Cooperation

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced that the state government will discuss the drought situation and farmer issues during the upcoming three-day special legislative session regardless of BJP cooperation.

The first day of the session will address the K. Kasturirangan Committee report on the Western Ghats, while the subsequent two days will focus entirely on the drought.

Shivakumar also stated he will lead a multi-party delegation to New Delhi to seek central financial assistance and plans to discuss water release from Maharashtra reservoirs to address local drinking water shortages.
