Police Detain 500 Protesters Demanding Resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar

Over 500 protesters, including AISA president Neha Bora, Yogendra Yadav, and Prashant Bhushan, were detained on Saturday in New Delhi for marching towards Jantar Mahtar to demand the Chief Election Commissioner's resignation.

AISA members alleged a male police officer manhandled Neha Bora and another officer abused her during the police action near Jantar Mantar.

Meanwhile, the NSUI staged a separate protest at India Gate on Saturday seeking voting rights protection and transparency in Election Commission functioning.
