South and West Albany high schools have completed the installation of new synthetic turf on their football fields for the 2026 academic year.
The project at South Albany cost approximately $632,000 for the field and $515,000 for the track, while the West Albany field cost $488,000.
The Albany School Board approved these replacements last spring, with the new fields expected to have a useful life of 10 to 12 years.
