India's First Dengue Vaccine Qdenga Expected by 2027

India's first dengue vaccine, Qdenga, is expected to be available in the country by the first half of 2027, primarily through private healthcare settings.

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation granted marketing authorization on July 21, 2026, for the vaccine, which is indicated for individuals aged 4 to 60 years.

The immunization schedule requires two 0.5 ml doses administered subcutaneously at an interval of three months, though experts advise consulting a doctor before starting the regimen.
