Former US President Barack Obama Warns Democrats Over AI Risks

Former U.S. President Barack Obama warned that artificial intelligence could become dangerous if not properly managed during a recent private fundraising event.

Obama urged House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to establish a public policy framework on AI if Democrats regain the House in midterm elections on November 3.

He also recommended that candidates in the 2028 presidential race incorporate safety and economic concerns regarding AI as a central part of their agendas.
