
The Coal Ministry inaugurated the 16th round of commercial mine auctions, offering 25 coal blocks consisting of 21 fully explored and four partially explored mines.
The mines are distributed across nine states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, and West Bengal.
The broader commercial coal mining framework has previously auctioned 147 mines, projected to generate over ₹47,500 crore in revenues and ₹55,000 crore in capital investments.
