Delhi's overall air quality remained in the very poor category on Friday morning with a 24-hour average Air Quality Index of 391.
Multiple areas across the national capital, including ITO, Dwarka, Rohini, and Punjabi Bagh, recorded severe levels of air pollution.
Authorities reported that the poor air quality is driven by meteorological factors like low wind speeds alongside regional stubble burning and vehicle emissions.
