Bank unions defer nationwide strike after talks with IBA

Bank unions on Sunday deferred their proposed three-day nationwide strike following discussions with the Indian Banks' Association.

A joint high-level committee will be constituted immediately to examine the union demand to declare all remaining Saturdays as holidays.

Discussions on the Performance Linked Incentive scheme for Scale IV and above officers will also commence following the understanding reached between parties.
