Pedro Alliana took the oath as Paraguay's president on Friday after Santiago Pena was impeached following a major commercial bank crisis.
The Central Bank took control of ueno bank due to financial stability concerns, freezing accounts for approximately three million customers.
Alliana, who previously served as vice president for three years, will remain in office until the year 2028.
