IIT Delhi has established a five-member external committee to investigate the recent suicide of a student, as protests continue across the campus demanding accountability.
The student, identified as Rishikesh Kumar, was reportedly denied hostel accommodation and faced isolation during lab projects, according to his brother's statement.
Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide, and student organizations are calling for structural reforms to address mental health support systems within the institute.
