Paramount Skydance reached a settlement with California and other opposing states to clear its proposed $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.
Holdout states including New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Minnesota agreed to the terms after securing independent editorial boards for CBS and CNN.
The agreement includes financial penalties of $30 million per film if the company fails to release 30 theatrical films annually.
