Kerala Higher Education Department Seeks Report on Calicut University PVC Appointment

The Kerala Higher Education Department has sought a detailed explanation from Calicut University's Registrar regarding the appointment of P. Rasheed Ahammed as pro-Vice-Chancellor.

The under-secretary stated that Ahammed was relieved from his parent institution and took charge on deputation without prior government sanction.

Pro-Left Syndicate members demanded the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor and a Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau probe into alleged procedural irregularities.
