Karnataka to train 5,000 government teachers in AI literacy

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced the JanAI initiative to train 5,000 government school teachers in basic artificial intelligence literacy.

The program, conducted by the Head Held High Foundation, will run from January to December 2027 in collaboration with the state education department.

Training covers AI fundamentals, effective tool usage, classroom applications, and responsible adoption, specifically focusing on data privacy and identifying misinformation.
