Union Health Ministry Directs States to Prominently Display Healthcare Service Rates

The Union Health Ministry urged all states and union territories to enforce the prominent display of rates charged by clinical establishments to ensure transparency and prevent billing disputes.

Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava noted that clear pricing visibility enables patients and families to make informed healthcare decisions and plan expenditures effectively.

States were further requested to prominently display package rates offered to foreign patients traveling to India on medical and Ayush visas.
