Two Men Injured in Shooting Outside Ontario Synagogue

A 29-year-old armed man opened fire outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, during Yom Kippur on Sunday.

The incident resulted in a shootout involving nearly 30 shots that left the suspect with life-threatening injuries and a veteran police officer seriously wounded.

About two dozen people inside the synagogue remained uninjured after a responding police officer entered the building to secure safety.
