India proposed senior career diplomat Sudhakar Dalela as the next ambassador to Nepal on Tuesday.
The post became vacant following the retirement of Naveen Srivastava earlier this month.
Dalela previously served as India's ambassador to Bhutan and as the Brics Sherpa.
