UAE Accuses Iran of Firing Two Ballistic Missiles at Territory

The United Arab Emirates Defence Ministry reported that its air defences detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward its territory on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

One missile fell outside territorial waters while the second landed within them, following a brief phone alert issued by the Interior Ministry to residents regarding a potential missile threat.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei categorically rejected the claim, labelling the accusation harmful to regional trust and security efforts amid ongoing tensions in the Gulf.
