
India and Mauritius signed a long-term energy partnership on August 21, 2026, designating Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) as the sole fuel supplier for the island nation.
The five-year agreement covers the entire import requirement for petrol, diesel, and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) for Mauritius.
The deal also expands the bilateral energy cooperation to include biofuels and clean energy initiatives, strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
