Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli finished second and fourth in Friday practice sessions for the Mexico City Grand Prix, despite battling a viral infection.
The 20-year-old can secure the Formula 1 drivers' championship and break Sebastian Vettel's record by finishing as low as ninth on Sunday.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc topped both practice sessions, while Lewis Hamilton experienced a power loss and Max Verstappen clashed on track with Liam Lawson.
