Iraqi PM Sets June 30 Deadline for Pro-Iran Factions to Disarm

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi announced June 30, 2027, as the final deadline for armed factions to surrender their weapons following the end of the US-led coalition's mission.

The withdrawal of coalition forces officially concluded after more than a decade of assisting Iraqi forces in the fight against the Islamic State group.

Pro-Iran factions, including Kataeb Hezbollah, have rejected the government's timeline, stating they are not bound by any agreements regarding disarmament.
