The Indian embassy in Jakarta launched an AI avatar named Dewi on October 13 to share updates on culture, scholarships, travel, and consular services.
Ambassador Sandeep Chakravorty stated that the avatar was introduced during Navaratri and Durga Puja to guide followers across digital platforms.
The name Dewi derives from the Sanskrit word Devi and shares cultural resonance with the Indonesian language and heritage.
