The Federation of Sadar Bazar Trades Association appealed to Rahul Gandhi to postpone the INDIA bloc's November 1 Ramlila Maidan rally to protect festive business.
Traders warned that traffic restrictions and protests during the Dhanteras-to-Diwali period threaten an estimated ₹25,000 crore turnover and local livelihoods.
The association requested the Congress leadership to reschedule the political programme to any date after November 10 in the larger public interest.
