Portugal-based Aptoide has become the first third-party app store to launch on Google Play in the U.S. following a decade of sideloading requirements.
The move follows U.S. District Judge James Donato’s ruling in the Epic Games lawsuit, which mandates that Google allow third-party stores to access its infrastructure.
Aptoide currently serves approximately 25 million monthly active users and offers a catalog of over 40,000 Android applications to its global customer base.
