RBI appoints Suman Ray as Executive Director

The Reserve Bank of India appointed Suman Ray as Executive Director, effective September 1, 2026.

Prior to this promotion, Ray served as the Regional Director for Maharashtra and has over three decades of central bank experience.

In his new role, Ray will oversee the Department of Deposit Insurance & Credit Guarantee Corporation and the Premises Department.
