Seven Die in Stampede at Bihar's Ashok Dham Temple

At least seven devotees died and over a dozen were injured in a stampede-like incident at the Ashok Dham temple in Lakhisarai, Bihar, on Monday.

Senior police officer Shivam Kumar stated the chaos was triggered when an electricity pole fell, causing electrocutions among the crowd gathered for the holy month of Shravan.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed condolences and directed the state administration to ensure prompt medical treatment for all survivors currently hospitalized.
