Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali earns Rs 16.5 crore on opening day

Director Rahul Sankrityan's period action drama Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda, opened to mixed reviews on Friday with a worldwide first-day collection of Rs 16.50 crore.

The film collected Rs 9.25 crore net and Rs 10.75 crore gross in India across 2,515 shows, performing below the opening days of the actor's previous releases Kingdom and Liger.

The modest screen count was attributed to Jailer 2, which retained a dominant share of screens across South India after releasing a day earlier on October 15.
