North Korea fires short-range ballistic missiles following maritime drills

North Korea launched multiple short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea on Saturday, according to South Korea's military.

The missile test occurred a day after South Korea concluded five days of joint maritime drills with the United States and Japan.

The missiles were detected around 05:20 am from the Wonsan area and traveled approximately 250 kilometers.
