Jan Suraaj Party Wins Bankipur Bypoll, Defeating BJP

Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party secured a victory in the Bankipur Assembly bypoll, ending the Bharatiya Janata Party's hold on the seat held since 1995.

The seat was previously occupied by BJP national president Nitin Nabin, whose departure triggered the by-election in the Bihar constituency.

The BJP's loss is attributed to internal party issues and shifting demographics among Gen Z voters following recent protests in the national capital.
