The Bahujan Samaj Party will have no members in Parliament after November 25, when the six-year term of its lone Rajya Sabha MP, Ramji Gautam, concludes.
Since the party already lacks any members in the Lok Sabha, this marks the first time since its parliamentary debut in 1989 that the BSP has no representation in either House.
The party's dwindling legislative presence follows a steep decline in assembly seats and the death of its lone MLA, leaving the party without representation in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh assembly.
