DRI and BSF Seize 12 kg Foreign-Origin Gold Worth ₹17 Crore

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and the Border Security Force seized approximately 12 kg of foreign-origin gold valued at nearly ₹17 crore in cross-border smuggling operations.

The recoveries took place across West Bengal and Bihar, including unclaimed gold pieces found near the International Border and concealed inside a train passenger's knee cap.

The operations successfully targeted active smuggling networks operating through the India-Bangladesh border route, resulting in arrests and seizures under the Customs Act, 1962.
