The Union Health Ministry has instructed all states and Union Territories to ensure clinical establishments prominently display rates charged for medical services and facilities.
Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava emphasized in a letter that transparent pricing helps patients understand costs, make informed decisions, and minimize billing disputes.
The directive references the Clinical Establishments Act of 2010 and asks authorities to ensure package rates for international patients on medical or Ayush visas are also displayed.
