The groups stated that the absence of a uniform pricing mechanism leaves patients vulnerable to exorbitant bills, particularly during prolonged hospitalisations and multi-item procedures.
The demand follows recent Supreme Court scrutiny regarding steep markups in hospital pharmacies and hospital-linked purchasing mandates.
