The Sports Authority of India has installed container-based rooms at Patiala and Bengaluru to help athletes acclimatize to unique accommodation at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The simulation units, which began use on August 28, feature twin-sharing quarters, a kitchenette, and storage for bulky equipment to mimic the conditions expected in Japan.
Eight athletes have participated in the overnight stay program so far, with officials aiming to reduce potential psychological stress and claustrophobia during the Games starting September 19.
