Actor Imran Khan received a show-cause notice from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office asking why his Overseas Citizen of India status should not be cancelled.
The notice cites his participation in an October protest at August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Khan previously filed a petition in the Bombay High Court challenging a Mumbai Police notice directing him to leave India by October 28 under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
