Hyderabad-based artist Priti Samyukta won third prize at the XI Tashkent International Art Biennale held in Uzbekistan from October 12 to 16.
An associate professor at JNAFAU, she presented three works from her series 'Stitching Memories' that explore memory and identity using textile art.
Her exploration of textile art was influenced by her Fulbright-Nehru postdoctoral fellowship researching quilt-making traditions of Gee's Bend quilters in Alabama.
