HDFC Bank's board submitted two candidates to the Reserve Bank of India to succeed outgoing CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan, though their names were not publicly disclosed.
Jagdishan, who has led the lender since 2020, will complete his second term and step down in October 2026, requiring prior regulatory approval for his successor under Indian banking rules.
The bank also reappointed V. Srinivasa Rangan as a whole-time director, appointed Chief Credit Officer Jimmy Tata to the board, and announced plans to create a fourth whole-time director post for the incoming CEO.
